UML fraternity demands dismissal of education minister
KATHMANDU: JUNE 24 – The Nepal Oppressed Ethnic Liberation Society, a sister organization of the CPN-UML, has demanded the government to dismiss Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha. The fraternal organization of the UML has demanded the dismissal of Minister Shrestha saying that the accused in the case of caste discrimination and untouchability has been released from custody.
Saraswati Pradhan of Babar Mahal, Kathmandu, who was arrested on the charge of boycotting after agreeing to give a room to artist Rupa Sunar, who is also a media person, was released from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Singha Durbar on Wednesday and taken away by Minister Shrestha in his own vehicle.
After that, issuing a press release on Thursday, the president of the society Ganesh BK. They have demanded dismissal. “Our organization has drawn serious attention to the move of Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha to take the law into his own hands and forcibly release Saraswati Pradhan, who is in custody for investigation, and take her in his own vehicle.”
