Barcelona won the Copa del Rey

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, APRIL 18, 2021 – Barcelona have won the Spanish Copa del Rey. Barcelona won the title by defeating Athletic Club on Saturday night.

Barcelona beat Athletic Club 4-0 in the final of the Copa del Rey to win the title. Captain Lionel Messi scored two goals to give Barcelona the title. Anthony Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong scored 1-1.

Athletic Club and Barcelona played a goalless draw in the first half. But in the second half, Barcelona won the title by scoring four goals against Athletic Club. Griezmann scored in the 60th minute to give Barcelona a 1-0 lead. De Jong scored in the 63rd minute to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead.

Barcelona took a 3-0 lead in the 68th minute when captain Messi scored. Within 8 minutes, Barcelona managed to score three goals against Athletic Club. In the 72nd minute of the game, captain Messi scored his second individual goal to give Barcelona a 4-0 victory.

This is the first title Barcelona has won this season.
