KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, APRIL 2, 2021 – A contempt of court case has been filed against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The case in the bench of Justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Hari Phunyal is final. However, the possibility of a hearing is low.

Advocates Kanchan Krishna Neupane and Kumar Acharya, among others, had filed a contempt case alleging that the statement made by the Prime Minister during the Constitutional Court hearing on the dissolution of the parliament was contempt of court.

During the preliminary hearing on the writ petition, a single bench of Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma asked him to appear in person and submit a written reply.
