Those who did not agree to the incineration were removed from the list

KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31, 2021 – 105 people who did not enter into an agreement to repair private houses within the stipulated time limit have been removed from the list of beneficiaries of incineration.

The National Reconstruction Authority District Project Implementation Unit Grant Management Office has informed that the beneficiaries of incineration who do not come to sign the agreement for private housing maintenance and do not take the first installment within the stipulated time have been removed from the list.

According to the office, the last time the earthquake victims were scheduled to sign the agreement by mid-Mangshir 2077 BS and take the first installment by Poush 15.

The total number of beneficiaries of incineration in the district is 325. Out of them, 220 beneficiaries signed an agreement and took the first installment of Rs 50,000 for house maintenance, said Deputy Subba Bal Krishna Sharma.

Most of those removed from the list of beneficiaries of infiltration are from Phalebas municipality. 61 beneficiaries of Phalebas municipality have been removed from the list.

Similarly, there are 27 beneficiaries from Bihadi, seven from Paiyun, five from Kushma, three from Mahashila and one each from Modi and Jaljala.

Sharma said that no recommendation has been received so far for the second and final installment after completing the house repairs. “It is not necessary to build a house, but it seems that no agreement has been reached as the name has been included in the list of beneficiaries,” he said.

Beneficiaries of incineration will get Rs. 100,000 in two installments of Rs. 50,000 each. According to Sharma, out of the beneficiaries of incineration, there are 348 beneficiaries who want to change to reconstruction.
