KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, MARCH 30, 2021 – The sky of Kathmandu Valley, which has been covered with thick smog since Friday, is still not open. In most parts of the country, the atmosphere is still stable, so the particles of pollution float in the lower part of the atmosphere without scattering.

To clean the polluted atmosphere, there must be rain or wind, but that is not happening now. Many people have felt the effects of pollution. The Department of Water and Meteorology has urged the people to wear masks and take necessary precaution if they do not go out of the house except for the necessary work to avoid eye burns and respiratory problems.

In a statement, the department said that especially in the urban areas including the federal capital Kathmandu, where the level of pollution is already higher than normal, the amount of dust is high and as a result the transparency of the atmosphere is significantly reduced and people’s life has become abnormal.
