Soldier dies after falling into Phewa Lake from paragliding

KASKI: A Nepal Army has died in an accident while paragliding training in Pokhara.

According to Subash Hamal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kaski, the deceased has been identified as Rajaram Magar, 23, of Nilkantha Municipality, Dhading.

After the accident, the Army and the Armed Police Force rescued Magar and rushed him to the Military Hospital at Ranipauwa, Pokhara-11. He died in the evening while undergoing treatment. Magar was serving in the Kalijung battalion of the army. Magar’s body has been kept at the Army Hospital. Police said that the body will be handed over after the family members arrive.
