Mayors Cup Cricket: Army and Kathmandu playing

Kathmandu. Only one game is being played in the Kathmandu Mayors Cup cricket tournament today.

Departmental club Tribhuvan Army is competing with Kathmandu Mayor Eleven team at Tribhuvan Cricket Ground. The game will start at 8:45 this morning. Both teams will be aiming for victory. Kathmandu will be looking for a second victory. Meanwhile, the Army is on the verge of winning the first match in the second match.

Earlier, Army had lost to APF Club by one wicket in the first match. Kathmandu Eleven defeated Bagmati Pradesh by 94 runs.

Sandeep Lamichhane is the captain of Kathmandu. He returned to Nepal without playing after the Pakistan Super League was postponed due to corona virus. In Sandeep’s excellent performance, Kathmandu Eleven had defeated Bagmati. Meanwhile, Binod Bhandari is the captain of the army.

The winner of the five-team competition will get Rs 500,000 in cash. Kathmandu Metropolitan City has provided Rs 5 million to Nepal Cricket Association (NCA) for the tournament.
