Share market falls below 2500

Kathmandu. Nepal’s stock market fell sharply on Sunday. The NEPSE index dropped by 79.74 points to 2474.39 points. Earlier, the index, which had been rising steadily amid slight correction, crossed 2600 points and fell below 2500 points.

A total of 1 crore 60 lakh shares of 207 companies were bought and sold for Rs 8 arab 35 crore 52 lakh on Sunday.

On Sunday, all group indicators except hotels and tourism declined. The life insurance group has declined the most by 624 points.

Shares of Chandragiri Hills Limited rose 9.81 percent, or Rs 37, in the lower market. The other two companies have gained more than 2 percent and the other two companies more than 1 percent.
